Our candlelight service on this beautiful evening of December 30th, 2023, started in the cozy fellowship area of College Grove Baptist Church. As the congregants entered, they were greeted by freshly baked cookies, a variety of tempting candies, and the comforting warmth of hot cider and hot cholate.
The sanctuary was beautifully adorned with twinkling lights, tasteful decorations, and a majestic Christmas trees, casting a warm glow upon the faces of all who gathered. The flickering candlelight, passed from one person to another, symbolized the hope and light that Christ brought into the world, filling the space with a sense of sacredness and unity.
This candlelight service was a testament to the love and devotion of College Grove Baptist Church, as they invited the community to join them in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, the true reason for the season.
At 6:00 pm, the worship service began, led by the talented and passionate Belington family. Jay Belington skillfully guided the congregation in worship, beautifully capturing the essence of the season through heartfelt melodies and soul-stirring lyrics. James Alloway and Sherri Poole, joined by their incredible musical talents, added depth and richness to the worship experience, enhancing the atmosphere of reverence and awe.
